Another Quiet Day
The Optimist Lies
Change is a funny thing. It's there all the time, except sometimes it's different.
Change happened here a while ago. Here being me, 'cause the here where the me is is a bit changeable.
There's that word again, or a form of it.
The short notice move from the UK to Iceland went remarkably well. The freight company lost everything I own only once. They found it again, but not after letting my life sit in their warehouse for a while.
Got a place in the middle of bloody nowhere, a small town outside of Reykjavik, quite nice, only a forty minute commute.
Yes, I'm moving away from there, just got a flat in the centre.
What started this one person mass migration was my getting a job as a web editor at an antivirus company in Iceland, one of the oldest in the business.
Strangely enough, they sell software for almost every single desktop platform on the planet, except for Mac OS X (they do have an API/SDK for Mac OS X, though).
Summary: Moved to Iceland. Work there. Paying debts. Saving money. Writing in every spare moment (some to put online, some for other things).
Now we can move onto other things, like writing about writing for interactivity. I can't promise regular updates (although I'll try and plan to) because as the title says: "The Optimist Lies."
