I'm in a bit of a Ph.D crunch at the moment. Trying to catch up. Going a little bit faster than before but the experience is altogether fairly unpleasant.

Writing academic essays is, and always has been, less pleasant than scrubbing my eyes with a cheese-grater.

Probably rates somewhere about the same level of pain and discomfort as being skinned alive and being dunked in a pool of pulped, liquified ready-salted peanuts.

A pool with brain-damaged, rabies-infected, hairless chimpanzees in it.

Normal service will resume in a few days' time.
