I am Baldur Bjarnason and I'm a Web Media Guy. You can call me baldur.

The web, internet, online media, online video, digital thingimabobs, are all part of what I research and work on.

This blog is about all that, with an emphasis on the role that writing has in tying all of this together. I plan to figure out what the basic principles of what works and what doesn't, and I plan to tell you what I find out.

I work as a Web Editor for a nameless antivirus company in Iceland. I'm not allowed to link my site or mention my name on the company's 'about' page, so I'm returning the favour. I'm unreasonable like that.

A website that doesn't participate in the online conversation will be left out of the online conversation. Even by its own employees. There are quite a few bloggers employed there, and almost none of them link to the company site.

It's a great place, with great people. I'm just hoping I can get some of the policies changed.

Fortunately, we have a sense of humour about this sort of thing at that very nice and very accommodating workplace, so I hope they won't fire me for making fun of some of our content policies.
